    The Conference commemorates the 70. anniversary of adoption of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide on 9 December 1948. There will be a special presentation on the Yezidi Genocide and meeting with Yezidi survivors & activists. The conference will be held on 6-7 December 2018 at Cracow universities: Jagiellonian & Pedagogical. Section of Kurdish Studies of the Jagiellonian University is partner of the event.

    On the 6th of December Awara Ahmed will present a lecture: “Individual responsibility for genocide – an analytical legal study on the Yezidi Genocide under the jurisdiction of the ICC”.

     

     

    On the 7th of December a meeting with the Yezidi survivors and activists: Hanifa Abbas Khalaf, Saeed Murad Basi Taha & Zaeem Findi will be held. A documentary film “Angels of Sinjar” by Hanna Polak is going to be promoted.
